Certain kinds of legal documents that libraries sign as part of their work towards providing their patrons with access to knowledge contain non-disclosure clauses. These can have multiple effects, one of which is that library users may unknowingly violate some provisions of the contract, and they can't even defend themselves or properly adjust their behaviour to what is allowed by the contract. I'd like to explore what we can do about ending this practice.
